When Khenpo Gawang visited the 4 village area, he identified the poorest family. This family has 5 children and the mother is in her early 20s. Mother and father can not read or write Tibetan although they wish they could. Preparing to live the cold and harsh winter in this tent with their children, they and other villagers asked Khenpo Gawang to help. At his return he was able to find a sponsor and now this family is living in a rented mud brick house and has enough food to see them through the winter along with new warm clothes and bedding. The two oldest children will attend Munsel School in Jyekundo next year to the great joy of their parents.
